Vision

 ‘Nurturing, Building, Preparing’

VISION

Our Vision is to be known as a place where children, parents and staff work together to educate and develop confident young people who care for each other, contribute positively to society, and strive to achieve their full potential.

MISSION

Our Mission is to provide an inclusive, faith based learning environment where, all year round, we build community, nurture our children, and prepare them for life in the 21st century.

ETHOS AND VALUES

We endeavour to live and breathe our ethos of care, family and presence in all that we do, and our Values help to ensure that this ethos flourishes:

Respect
We value each other, and understand that we are all different with unique talents

Care
We are courteous and show kindness and consideration to others; we support one another as a family

Excellence
We pursue excellence in the classroom, on the field and in the world around us

Joy
We enjoy life and have fun together

Family
We work together to form a special bond between school, parents and staff

Giving Back
We know that others are not as fortunate as us, and we recognise that we have a duty to look after them - we think of others and help them, we are not selfish but selfless.

Catholic Life and Mission

We welcome children from all faiths or none and teach understanding and respect for the beliefs of others and different ways and places of worship.

We encourage our pupils to explore, develop and nurture their faith. We explore Catholicism alongside other faiths in RE.

Children start the day with a morning prayer in their classrooms and in assemblies. There is a wonderful sense of community with the children feeling integral to celebrations, through singing, reading and praying.

The school’s assembly programme allows pupils to understand and present ideas connected with faith, but also to explore themes connected with the work of the Church. Pupils are taught and encouraged to have a real sense of right and wrong and responsibility and respect for the welfare and safety of each other.

As they mature and progress through the school, our pupils are involved in projects and ventures to support those in need, both locally and within the region, as well as overseas. Social justice topics are developed through different areas of the curriculum and action for these are shown from the school as a whole, within groups, or individual initiatives.
